Setting up an Indigenous Corporation? Our lawyers can help you register.
If you are looking to set up an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation, you can apply to be registered with Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC). In doing so, your organisation will be a separate legal entity with limited liability. Our lawyers can help you with the registration process.

To register an Indigenous Corporation, you need to be eligible according to the requirements set out by ORIC. They will assess your application and determine whether your registration is successful.
Once you are registered, you will have your own legal identity, which means your corporation will be able to enter into agreements, limit liability and owe/be owed money.
Our package starts at $2000 + GST and includes an initial consultation with a Sprintlaw lawyer to discuss your eligibility to be an Indigenous Corporation, any applicable exemptions, drafting a Rule Book for your organisation and answering any legal questions you might have.
Our lawyers can draft your documents to maximise your chances, however, please note that we cannot guarantee that you will attain the relevant status. This outcome will be determined after ORIC has assessed your application (which we can assist you with).
