Franchise Disclosure Document Update

WHAT’S IT FOR?

If your business is set up as a franchise, you need to update your Disclosure Document every financial year before 31 October. A Disclosure Document must be provided to a person proposing to enter into, renew or extend a franchise agreement. The document outlines key points regarding the franchise system such as any costs involved in operating the franchise, details of current and former franchisees, details on any legal proceedings against the franchise etc.
