Lease Surrender Agreement

WHAT’S IT FOR?

If you and your landlord have mutually agreed to end your lease before the expiry date, it’s important that you have a Lease Surrender Agreement in place to ensure any loose ends are tied up. A Lease Surrender Agreement typically includes clauses regarding the date of the surrender of lease, payment for early termination, payment of rent up to the date of surrender, ‘making good’ of the premises and mutual release.
