WHAT’S IT FOR?

When you’re selling an online business, there’s often not as many assets to be transferred to the new owner as a brick and mortar business. However, you’ll still have valuable intellectual property and business goodwill that you’ll want to be compensated for.

You’ll normally need an agreement to sell your IP and goodwill, without the need for transferring any leases, employees or physical assets. These agreements cover important aspects of the sale, such as the purchase price, payment terms, assets being sold and other legal protections.
