Unsure about how we work? We have gathered the most common questions for your convenience.
It is commonly used by founders who are moving beyond product build and need the legal side of a two-sided or multi-sided platform organised before real users come on board. That can include marketplaces connecting buyers and sellers, customers and service providers, or businesses and independent operators. It is often relevant before a beta, pilot, public launch or early fundraising. If your platform has several participant groups and you need the documents to work together rather than in isolation, this service is usually a better fit than ordering only website terms or only a privacy policy.
A recurring issue is working out who is contracting with whom and what the platform is actually promising. Founders also need to think about participant onboarding, cancellations, platform rules, user-generated content, liability positioning and how personal information moves between the platform and its users. Those issues often overlap. For example, your public terms may describe the platform one way while your seller agreement suggests something different. How you collect, use and disclose information will shape both the drafting and the advice, so the documents need to reflect the real user journey and operating model.
The service commonly includes marketplace terms and conditions, a privacy policy, and a supplier, seller or user agreement depending on your model. It can also include legal input on IP ownership or licensing issues connected to the platform and related assets. The exact mix depends on whether you are running a product marketplace, a services platform, a booking model or another intermediary setup. The aim is to produce a coordinated launch set, so the documents speak to each other and reflect the same commercial structure rather than being prepared as disconnected stand-alone items.
Templates often assume a simple one-business-to-one-customer relationship. A marketplace is usually more complex because there may be multiple user groups, platform rules, onboarding steps, payment flows, review systems or data-sharing points that need to be described properly. If the wording is too generic, it may be unclear whether your business is acting as principal, intermediary or technology provider. Privacy wording can also miss how information is collected, used and shared across the platform. That mismatch can create issues at launch, during partner negotiations or when investors review your legal setup.
The If your matter needs more support, we will make that clear before any additional work begins. It does not include If extra support is needed, we will explain it upfront and quote it separately before you proceed. For example, if you later need enterprise customer contracts, employment documents, capital raising documents or detailed sector-specific advice, that would usually be separate work. We can still assist with those items, but they are not automatically included just because they relate to the same startup.
