WA public-sector privacy framework enters substantive operation
The WA privacy framework now matters in day-to-day delivery for contractors and service providers handling personal information for WA public-sector customers. Businesses in that position should check contract privacy clauses, permitted uses, access controls, breach escalation and subcontractor handling against the commenced framework. The notifiable information-breach provisions are scheduled separately for 1 January 2027.
