Frequently asked questions

Unsure about how we work? We have gathered the most common questions for your convenience.

Yes, you can voluntarily de-register your company by lodging an application with ASIC. However, it’s important to make sure you meet the criteria for de-registration. Our lawyers can talk this through with you and help confirm whether you meet the criteria to avoid any hiccups.

To voluntarily de-register your company, you'll need to lodge an ASIC Form 6010, prepare members' and directors' resolutions, make sure there are no outstanding debts or liabilities, and settle any disputes before applying. There is a lot to consider, so chat to our lawyers if you need help.

Our package starts from $500 + GST and includes preparing an ASIC Form 6010, preparing members' and directors' resolutions, and phone consultations with a Sprintlaw lawyer who can advise you on the legal issues that may arise for your business during the application. Please note that ASIC fees for lodging the application are not included in this package.

Yes. We’re a law firm and an Incorporated Legal Practice registered with the Law Society of NSW. All our lawyers are licensed and qualified to provide commercial legal advice, and our team includes specialists across a range of commercial law areas, including contracts, capital raising, IP, technology, leasing and more.

We handle everything by phone, email and video call, so you never need to visit an office. Once you request a quote, one of our legally trained consultants will get back to you within one business day with a fixed-fee proposal. If you accept, we will pair you with a specialist lawyer who will guide you through the process. All documents are delivered digitally, and you can communicate with your lawyer in the way that suits you best. It is the same quality legal advice you would get from a traditional firm, just without the commute, hourly billing surprises or the formality.
