Please note that our Franchisor Package is limited to the scope above and does not include:

• Assistance with execution other than issuing a signing guide, conducting any due diligence on your business and readiness to franchise, advising on tax or business structuring, intellectual property protection (including registering any trade marks for your franchise), assisting with franchisee recruitment, issuing a franchise grant to future prospective franchisees, and it assumes that the transaction does not involve any employment, tax, accounting or other compliance issues.
• Any direct negotiations or correspondence with the counterparty or their lawyers, or reviewing any responses from the counterparty or their lawyers to the list of suggested amendments. If you need further negotiation support or additional rounds of review, we will provide a new quote scoped according to our Negotiation Support package.

This package is intended to cover the drafting of the legal documents associated with franchising. If you need help setting up your franchise beyond drafting your franchise legal documents (for example, drafting an operations manual), we recommend considering a commercial adviser.

Just click the ‘get started’ button on our website and submit an enquiry. After you submit an enquiry, one of our legal consultants will review it within 1 business day and get in touch to better understand what you’re looking for.

Your legal consultant will then send you an email with more information about the services you need, along with a fixed-fee quote setting out the costs, scope of the service, and timing. If you’re happy with the scope, you can accept and sign our engagement letter online.

Once you’ve formally accepted, we’ll connect you with a specialist lawyer who will work with you to complete your project. They will contact you by email or phone if they need to get in touch. More information about how we work can be found here.

Unlike traditional law firms, everything we do is on a fixed-fee basis. This means you will always know the total cost of your legal bill from the start.

Once you’ve accepted and signed our engagement letter, we will send through the payment details. Please note that we take full payment upfront into our trust account.

As set out in our engagement letter, your money will be held in our trust account until we’ve completed the scope of your project. To make sure your money is handled properly, we follow the rules and guidelines set by the Law Society of NSW for handling trust money. More information about trust accounts can be found here.

Once you’ve accepted our engagement and paid the fees into our trust account, we will allocate you a lawyer to look after your legal project. Your allocated lawyer will contact you by email and let you know if there’s anything they need.

If you don’t hear from them straight away, don’t worry. It usually means they are finishing off other projects and will contact you as soon as they can.

Once your lawyer starts work on your project, they will keep you updated on the estimated delivery time and let you know if they need any information from you.

Please also note that our lawyers generally don’t take unscheduled calls, as this helps keep things running efficiently. If a call is needed to complete your job, your lawyer will provide you with a link to our online call booking system. Please use this link to book a time whenever you need to speak with your lawyer.

If you have urgent questions or would like to follow up with your lawyer, you can email or call your legal consultant, who can provide an update on your project and pass on a message to your lawyer if needed.
