Privacy Policy (NDIS)

WHAT’S IT FOR?

A Privacy Policy is a document that discloses the way your business handles personal information to each person that you collect personal information from. As a NDIS provider, when you collect sensitive and health-related information, there are additional regulations that apply. A Privacy Policy (NDIS) sets out what personal information you collect, from whom that information can be collected from (e.g. plan managers or support coordinators), and how that information will used by you and/or disclosed to third parties. Our Health Service Provider Privacy Policies are consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

We’ll draft a NDIS Privacy Policy in accordance with the requirements of your business.

This package includes:

• Drafting a NDIS Privacy Policy consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles
• Phone consultations (up to 60 minutes) with a Sprintlaw lawyer who will take your instructions, advise you on the legal issues you need to know and answer your questions about the document
• 1 x complimentary amendment to the final draft we provide you, as long as you request the amendment within 10 business days of us delivering the final draft

Please note that while we’ll provide general information regarding your compliance obligations, this package does not include comprehensive regulatory advice including state or territory privacy or health industry regulations.

In NSW, Victoria and the ACT, private sector health service providers must comply with both Australian and state or territory privacy laws when handling health information. While we can provide some high level advice on this, it is not included in this package.
