The steps you’ll need to consider as you purchase a business include: Before you sign the contract: We’ll help with reviewing the Business Sale Agreement, and conducting a high level review of the lease. We’ll also complete all the relevant searches of the Vendor/Business (Company Search, GST Registration, Business Name Search, Trade Marks Search, and PPSR Search). Post-signing/ Pre-settlement: We’ll review of the Deed of Assignment & Variation of Lease, and provide you with advice on any security interests affecting the assets. We’ll also liaise with the Vendor’s lawyer to ensure that all relevant security interests are removed from the PPSR at settlement. Further, we’ll provide you with advice on your obligations under the Contract. We’ll also schedule Settlement and review the Settlement Statement. Post-settlement: We’ll be here to provide you with advice as to any Post Settlement steps you should attend to; and we’ll register the business name to you (if required).
