Registered Design Application

WHAT’S IT FOR?

If you want to protect the design of your product, you should register your design with IP Australia. Registration gives you an exclusive right to commercially use, license or sell the design for 5 years. Once your design is registered, you then have the opportunity to get your design certified.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

We’ll apply to IP Australia to register your design.

This package includes:

• Drafting the application for your design application
• Providing you with information on the design registration process and whether your design meets the criteria for registration
• Phone consultation with a Sprintlaw lawyer to answer your questions about the scope of the protection provided by the application
• Applying to IP Australia for a 5-year design registration (including the IP Australia fee of $250 for 1 design application)

This package also includes free monitoring of your design application up until registration. If there are any issues raised by IP Australia during the examination of your application, we will provide a free consultation in relation to the issue and, if any substantial action is required, we may provide a fixed-fee quote if required.
